RIBERG GZ-30 Spray Polyurethane Foam System

Description

RIBERG GZ-30 is a blend of polyether polyols containing catalysts, functional additives, and the foaming agent H2O (water). It is the first component of the spray polyurethane insulation system.

RIBERG GZ-30 is used in conjunction with polyisocyanate (component 2) as part of a 2-component system to produce closed-cell polyurethane foam.

Application Recommendations

General Requirements for the Properties of the Insulated Surface
The insulated surface should have a homogeneous structure, be clean, dry, free from dust, particles hindering adhesion, areas with resistant dirt, traces of oils, greases, easily peeling areas of old coatings.

General Requirements for Application Conditions
The surface temperature should be at least 3 °C higher than the measured dew point.

Attention!
Directly before starting the main insulation spraying work, it is recommended to perform a trial spray of the system on a small area of the surface to determine the control parameters of adhesion in these conditions, as well as control parameters of consumption.
At low operating temperatures, there may be changes in the optimal processing parameters.

Packaging and Storage

The transportation and storage of system components should be in accordance with current regulatory requirements.
Transportation of system components is only allowed in closed transport. Transportation and storage of system components should be carried out at temperatures not lower than +15°C (for component “1”), not lower than +20°C (for component “2”), and not higher than +30°C. Protect from freezing, direct sunlight. The system components are highly hygroscopic!

Protect from contact with moisture and natural humidity in the air!
Storing opened packaging with remnants of system components for subsequent use is PROHIBITED!

The shelf life of system components is 12 months for component “B” and 12 months for component “A” (provided they are stored in a dry, heated room in the original sealed packaging) from the date of manufacture. After the specified shelf life, the system components should be checked for compliance with technical specifications, and if their suitability is confirmed, they can be used for their intended purpose.

Safety Measures

• System components do not contain volatile organic compounds.
• Smoking, using faulty electrical equipment, and open flames are prohibited during work.
• Personnel working with the system should be provided with specialized clothing, protective eyewear, and gloves, and should be instructed on safety measures.
• Depending on the application conditions of the system, the work area should be equipped with good natural or forced ventilation.
• Avoid contact of system components with exposed skin, eyes, and mouth.
• In case of contact of system components with the eyes, rinse them with a large amount of water and seek medical attention immediately.
